'Binotto verdeelt taken als technisch directeur Ferrari over meerdere personen'

Ferrari lijkt bezig met een kleine herstructurering. Volgens de Italiaanse versie van Motorsport.com is teambaas Mattia Binotto zijn taken als technisch directeur stukje bij beetje aan het verdelen onder een aantal andere personeelsleden.

Binotto is sinds begin 2019 de teambaas van Ferrari. Hij kreeg die functie in handen na het gedwongen vertrek van Maurizio Arrivabene. Hiervoor vervulde Binotto de functie van technisch directeur bij het team uit Maranello en ook na zijn aantreden als teambaas bleef hij aan als technisch directeur. Volgens de Italiaanse website komt daar op korte termijn echter verandering in, want Binotto zal meer van zijn taken als technisch directeur gaan uitbesteden.

Volgens het verhaal gaat Ferrari geen nieuwe technisch directeur benoemen, maar zullen de taken verdeeld gaan worden over drie personen. Deze personen, die volgens Motorsport Italia Enrico Cardile (voor het chassis), David Sanchez (voor de aerodynamica) en Corrado Iotti (voor de motoren) heten, zullen elk verantwoordelijk worden over een deel van de technische operatie van Ferrari. Ook zullen zij directe verantwoording gaan afleggen aan Binotto, die meer een soort manager zal worden.

Resta geen technisch directeur, maar bezig met auto 2021

Eerder deze week maakte Ferrari bekend dat Simone Resta na een dienstverband van een jaar bij Alfa Romeo terugkeert bij de Scuderia. Het eerste halfjaar zal hij zich waarschijnlijk bezighouden met projecten binnen de straatauto-divisie van Ferrari, vanaf 2020 zal hij het project rond de bolide voor 2021 gaan leiden.
