Overzicht: Verzamelde strafpunten per coureur na Hongaarse Grand Prix 2019

Sinds 2014 werkt de Formule 1 met een systeem waarbij coureurs strafpunten op hun superlicentie kunnen krijgen. Hoe staan de coureurs er na de eerste seizoenshelft van 2019 voor qua verzamelde punten?

Het uitdelen van strafpunten in de Formule 1 is geïntroduceerd om gevaarlijk rijgedrag te ontmoedigen. Verzamelde punten blijven twaalf maanden lang staan en bij het verzamelen van twaalf punten of meer volgt er een schorsing voor de betreffende coureur. Momenteel zit er niemand echt in de gevarenzone. Max Verstappen heeft momenteel de meeste punten verzameld: hij staat op zeven stuks. Op 2 september zullen er 2 punten vervallen, terwijl de laatste twee punten in mei 2020 zullen wegvallen.

Antonio Giovinazzi is de enige coureur die tijdens de laatste twee races een punt bijgeschreven kreeg op zijn licentie. Die kreeg hij in Hongarije voor het ophouden van Lance Stroll in de kwalificatie. Valtteri Bottas en Carlos Sainz zagen in de afgelopen twee races juist twee strafpunten van hun totaal verdwijnen, waardoor ze nu beiden op twee strafpunten staan.

Toch een rare lijst, volgens mij zijn er amper meer strafpunten uitgedeeld (en dat is maar goed ook), want 2 van de eerste 3 racen al een half jaar niet meer mee en de nr 1 heb ik al een jaar niets fout zien doen..

  Max kreeg in Monaco toch nog punten voor de onveilige pitstop waarbij hij Bottas raakte. (staat hij toch nog op P1 in een F1 ranking lijst)

  Hamilton kreeg in Duitsland nog 1 strafpunt voor het pitsingang incident. Op zich is het heel simpel, bij iedere tijdstraf tijdens de race worden standaard 1 of meerdere strafpunten gegeven.

Ik durf te wedden dat de meeste van deze straffen werden gegeven voor futiliteiten.. Soms terwijl de rijder zelf er niet eens wat aan kon doen (unsafe release uit de pits b.v.)..

Max kreeg zelfs twee strafpunten in Monaco vanwege die pitstop.. haha...En verder nog rare beslissingen om die strafpunten uit te delen. Maar goed, zolang je niet boven de twaalf uitkomt is er niets aan de hand.

  die strafpunten voor een coureur bij een fout van het team zijn natuurlijk echt belachelijk.
