Alfa Romeo toont nieuwe, eenmalige kleurstelling voor Italiaanse Grand Prix

Naast Ferrari en Scuderia Toro Rosso is er nog een derde team dat in Italië een thuisrace rijdt. Alfa Romeo maakt van die gelegenheid gebruik om eenmalig met een speciale kleurstelling aan de start te verschijnen.

Eerder deze week kondigde het team op Twitter al aan dat er in Italië eenmalig een andere livery op de auto's van Kimi Raikkonen en Antonio Giovinazzi te zien zal zijn. Raikkonen verklapte in de aankondigingsvideo al een beetje wat de verandering zou gaan zijn: "Het is geen groot verschil, maar wel een erg Italiaanse verandering."

Op de donderdag stonden in de pitstraat een aantal onderdelen van de bolides van Alfa Romeo en daarop zijn de eerste tekenen van de veranderingen te zien. Normaal gesproken is de kleurstelling van het Italiaans-Zwitserse team wit met rood en enkele blauwe accenten, maar in Italië wordt daar de kleur groen aan toegevoegd. Op die manier creëert Alfa Romeo het effect van de Italiaanse vlag op de C38.

Op Monza gaat Alfa Romeo wederom op jacht naar punten. Het team scoorde tot dusver 32 punten, waarvan er 31 behaald werden door ervaren rot Raikkonen. Zijn race in België werd echter gehinderd door een botsing met Max Verstappen in de eerste bocht van de race. Giovinazzi lag vervolgens op koers om punten te scoren, maar hij parkeerde zijn auto in de voorlaatste ronde in de bandenstapels.

  Mee eens!
  Rood/Wit vind ik toch al echte Alfa Romeo kleuren, het groen van het klavertie vier (Quardofoglio) iets nadrukkelijker aanwezig is niks mis mee.
  Zeker niet omdat het dan ook nog eens de Italiaanse vlag is.

Jammer dat het eenmalig is; ik vind het volgens mij prachtig! Maarr... mss groen erbij in 2020, vanwege de lovende reacties tijdens Monza 2019.?
