Komend weekend staat de Grand Prix van Singapore wederom op het programma. Vorig jaar behaalde Max Verstappen zijn beste resultaat op dit circuit door tweede te worden.

Lewis Hamilton deed in 2018 op het Marina Bay Street Circuit goede zaken in de strijd om de wereldtitel. Ondanks gehannes met achterblijvers wist de Mercedes-coureur de race te winnen, terwijl rivaal Sebastian Vettel niet verder kwam dan P3. Sergey Sirotkin speelde een hoofdrol in de race: hij weerde zich kranig in verschillende duels en ontpopte zich tot de smaakmaker van de wedstrijd.
