Red Bull Racing strikt IRIS als nieuwe audiopartner voor 2020

Red Bull Racing heeft een nieuwe partner binnengehaald. De Oostenrijkse renstal gaat vanaf 2020 samenwerken met IRIS, een bedrijf dat zich bezig houdt met audiotechnologie en -software.

IRIS wordt met ingang van het nieuwe seizoen de nieuwe audiopartner van Red Bull Racing. De software en uitrusting van het bedrijf zal gebruikt worden op de pitmuur, in de simulator en de operation rooms in de fabriek en bij alle demo-evenementen. Daarnaast zal IRIS in samenwerking met Red Bull Racing werken aan een unieke audio-ervaring voor de fans.

"De Formule 1 is een sport die draait om marginale verbeteringen en wij zoeken altijd naar nieuwe technologie die ons een voorsprong geeft", zegt teambaas Christian Horner. "Wij zijn blij met de komst van IRIS, die ons die voorsprong geeft: meer duidelijkheid in de onzekerheid op het circuit; een verbeterde realiteit in de simulator en een manier om beter tot rust te komen tijdens het reizen. Dat zal vooral waardevol worden met de kalender van 22 races dit seizoen."

Jacobi Anstruther, de CEO van IRIS, voegt daaraan toe: "Beide bedrijven stellen innovatie en de top van menselijke en technologische prestaties centraal in alles wat we doen, en dat maakt dit de perfecte samenwerking. Wij kijken ernaar uit om onze technologie in ieder aspect van de activiteiten van het team te verwerken."
