De presentatie van de Alfa Romeo C39 volgt pas op de eerste dag van de eerste week van de wintertests, maar de eerste beelden van de nieuwe bolide zijn nu al naar buiten gekomen. De bolide raast momenteel over Fiorano.

Net als in 2019 heeft Alfa Romeo ervoor gekozen om de shakedown van de nieuwe bolide op Valentijnsdag te verrichten en wederom is Fiorano, het officiële testcircuit van Ferrari, de plaats van handeling. Net als een jaar geleden zit Kimi Raikkonen achter het stuur van de auto tijdens de filmdag, die dus tevens dienst doet als shakedown van de C39.

Kleur bekennen doet Alfa Romeo Racing vooralsnog niet, want in lijn met 2019 heeft het team gekozen voor een speciale kleurstelling voor de dag van de liefde. De auto is donkergrijs, met een hartvormig logo van Alfa Romeo op de motorkap. Op de sidepods, die een slankere vorm hebben dan afgelopen jaar, staat het logo van nieuwe titelsponsor PKN Orlen. Die maakte met Robert Kubica, de nieuwe reservecoureur van het team, de overstap naar Alfa.

De concepten die het Italiaans-Zwitserse team in 2020 gebruikt, komen grotendeels overeen met de concepten van 2019. Daaruit kan gesteld worden dat de bolide, die dit jaar wederom door Raikkonen en Antonio Giovinazzi bestuurd wordt, een doorontwikkeling is van de C38. Er is gekozen voor een extreem outwash-principe bij de voorvleugel, terwijl ook de luchtinlaat boven de cockpit weer in tweeën gesplitst is.

  Dus de filmdag is eigenlijk compleet nutteloos omdat ze de beelden niet voor promotionele doeleinden kunnen gebruiken. Dit is gewoon een keiharde shakedown.

  Het juist schrijven van coureurs en teams is voor velen hier vaak een probleem..... En dat vind ik raar..... Als je een bijvoorbeeld een fan bent van McLaren dan ga je dat toch nooit spellen als MacLaren???? Maar je hoeft niet eens een fan te zijn van een coureur of een team, als je al een fan van de sport bent dan weet je toch hoe je de namen moet spellen???? En dan niet zeggen dat sommige mensen dyslectisch zijn..... Ja dat kan, maar als je dat van jezelf weet dan kijk je je post toch nog een keer extra na om ervoor te zorgen dat je namen goed hebt gespeld???
  Heeft ook een beetje met respect te maken richting de personen en de teams.... Maar goed, je kunt ook lui zijn en dus je eigen tekst niet nalezen....

  Mario. Ik snap je punt, maar er kan best even na een vlot typ foutje worden gemaakt... de edit button is nog niet toegevoegd op de site... Echter zag ik laatst ook iemand Farary typen onder een filmpje op youtube... zo'n overdreven fout van een welbekend merk ik vind ik ook niet kunnen. Ik dacht zelfs bijna dat ze Faraday Future ermee bedoelden ipv Ferrari.
