AlphaTauri introduceert nieuwe naam op social media en hint naar kleurgebruik

Scuderia Toro Rosso is niet meer. De laatste overblijfselen van de oude naam zijn door het team gewist en vervangen voor de nieuwe identiteit: Scuderia AlphaTauri.

Tot eerder vandaag ging AlphaTauri op social media nog door het leven als Scuderia Toro Rosso, de naam die het team in 2006 kreeg nadat Minardi werd overgenomen door Red Bull. Veertien jaar lang reed het team met deze naam rond en vanzelfsprekend gebruikte men de naam ook op haar kanalen op sociale media als Twitter, Facebook en Instagram.

Gedurende het seizoen maakte Red Bull echter kenbaar dat de naam Toro Rosso na afloop van het seizoen 2019 uit de Formule 1 ging verdwijnen. De energiedrankgigant wilde een ander merk in de spotlights zetten bij het kleine broertje van Red Bull Racing en daarbij werd dus gekozen voor AlphaTauri, een modemerk dat Red Bull in 2016 introduceerde.

Vanavond wordt de eerste bolide van het team, de AT01, onthuld en voorafgaand aan dat heugelijke feit heeft het team ook op social media haar naamsverandering doorgevoerd. Eerder maakte de FIA met haar voorlopige inschrijflijst al bekend dat de naamswijziging een feit zou worden. Vanaf nu gaat Toro Rosso ook op social media dus door het leven als AlphaTauri.

Aan het bericht waarin de naamsverandering op social media werd aangekondigd werd ook een afbeelding toegevoegd van het nieuwe logo van het team en daarmee heeft de renstal misschien al iets verklapt over de kleurstelling die gebruikt gaat worden in 2020. Het witte logo en de belettering staat op een zeer donkere tint blauw afgebeeld en mogelijk is dit een hint naar de kleuren die het team in het nieuwe seizoen gaat gebruiken.

  In combinatie met rood en zilver was dat absoluut verfrissend. Desondanks lijkt me dit mooier dan het zwart/wit (zilver?) waar men in eerste instantie vanuit ging.

Betreft de hint naar het kleurgebruik, als er een app zou zijn _kleur je eigen F1 auto_ dan zou ik dat direct downloaden. Bestaat zoiets eigenlijk? Even lekker offtopic maar ik vraag me wel eens af hoe een door mij zelf bedachte livery eruit zou zien en welke kleuren combinaties ik zou gebruiken

Donkerblauw met wit = hm, net niet.

Maargoed, laat ‘m maar es zien. Mss valt t mee. Al is zwart is wel veel krachtiger dan dit donkerblauw.
