Robert Kubica test als eerste met nieuwe Alfa Romeo C39

Robert Kubica zal deze week de eerste coureur zijn om achter het stuur van de Alfa Romeo C39 kruipen. De eerste drie testdagen vinden plaats van 19 tot en met 21 februari in Barcelona. Naast Kubica zullen uiteraard ook Kimi Raikkonen en Antonio Giovinazzi achter het stuur kruipen.

Op woensdagochtend zal Kubica de auto besturen voordat racecoureur Antonio Giovinazzi na de lunchpauze in de middag in zal stappen. Giovinazzi zal donderdag de hele dag door rijden, voordat Kimi Raikkonen de week zal voltooien voor het Italiaanse team.

Kubica heeft zich bij Alfa Romeo aangesloten als reservecoureur voor 2020, terwijl zijn hoofdsponsor Orlen de titelsponsor van het team is.

De nieuwe auto heeft zijn eerste shakedown al voltooid. Kimi Raikkonen gaf in Fiorano de eerste meters aan de C39, die uitgevoerd was met een 'slangenhuid' livery als camouflage.
