Lando Norris schud nooit handen met Carlos Sainz

Lando Norris en Carlos Sainz vormen na vorig seizoen ook dit jaar het coureursduo bij McLaren. De Brit en Spanjaard hebben een goede verstandshouding als teamgenoten en maken samen veel plezier in het Britse team. McLaren is ook zeer tevreden met de prestaties van beide coureurs en hoopt dit jaar door te groeien als team met hulp van Norris en Sainz.

Dat Lando Norris vaak grapjes maakt is inmiddels bekend. Zo zien we hem af en toe op iRacing met Max Verstappen, waar de twee het tegen elkaar maar ook vaak met elkaar in één team opnemen en veel lol met elkaar hebben. Dit geldt ook in de F1 paddock voor Norris en Sainz. Hoewel het teamgenoten zijn, gunnen de twee elkaar ook goede prestaties.

Coronavirus

Met de Australische Grand Prix die komende vrijdag begint heeft ook het coronavirus een grote impact op de F1 paddock. Veel coureurs maken zich zorgen, maar onder andere Kimi Raikkonen vraagt zich af waarom hij zich zorgen moet maken. De FIA heeft inmiddels een crisisteam in het leven geroepen die de situatie nauwlettend volgen.

Lando Norris is zich bewust van de situatie en toen hem gevraagd werd of hij nog handen schudt met teamgenoot Carlos Sainz vertelde hij grappend: "Ik schud sowieso nooit handen met Carlos. Sterker nog ik geef hem altijd stomp, of hij stompt mij!"

Om kort daarna serieus in te gaan op hoe hij omgaat met het coronavirus: "Ik raak niets aan wat anderen aangeraakt hebben. Ik hou alles normaal. Ik schud geen handen, ik tik meer met mijn elleboog of een high-five in de lucht."

  LOL! Ik ben zelf ook weleens kritisch op deze redactie en zou daar nu ook weer flauwe opmerkingen over kunnen maken, maar ze doen hun best. Vroeger ging ik eerst altijd naar Motorsport maar tegenwoordig surf ik direct naar GPToday.net/nl voor mijn meermaaldaagse F1-fix. De taalfouten neem ik op de koop toe.
