Robert Kubica over geheime Formule E-test: "Paar rondjes gereden"

Robert Kubica is ook dit jaar actief in de Formule 1, als testcoureur van Alfa Romeo. De Pool kwam vorig jaar terug in de koningsklasse als racecoureur bij Williams maar dat liep uit op een deceptie.

Inmiddels kijkt de 35-jarige coureur om zich heen en lijkt hij misschien te gaan racen in de Formule E. Kubica heeft toegegeven dat hij in het geheim een Formule E-wagen heeft getest. Een andere optie is een racestoeltje in het DTM.

Tegenover de poolse WRC site zei Kubica: "Ik zal eerlijk zijn. Ik had een privé-test in een Formule E-wagen. Ik reed een paar rondjes."

Formule E niet geschikt voor Kubica

Kubica liet doorschemeren dat de aard van de Formule E-auto en de locaties waar de elektrische wagens racen niet geschikt waren voor zijn armblessure.

"Aan de ene kant vinden de races plaats op straatcircuits waar ik het altijd goed heb gedaan. Maar aan de andere kant was de combinatie van het rijden met de auto en de zeer krappe circuits niet perfect voor mij."
