Grosjean leerde weekend opbouwen van Alonso en Raikkonen

Haas F1-coureur Romain Grosjean heeft onthuld dat zijn voormalig teamgenoten Fernando Alonso en Kimi Raikkonen meer met elkaar gemeen hadden dan je in eerste instantie zou denken. Beiden waren absolute top en ze benaderden een Grand Prix-weekend op dezelfde manier. Daar heeft de jonge Grosjean het nodige van opgestoken.

De Fransman reed in 2009 samen met Alonso voor Renault en in 2012 en 2013 had hij bij Lotus te maken met Raikkonen. "Welke teamgenoot ik het meest bewonderde, dat is een lastige vraag", vertelde Grosjean via Instagram Live aan Formule 1-verslaggever Will Buxton. "Ik begon in de Formule 1 naast Alonso, toen ik terugkwam reed ik met Raikkonen en nu heb ik Kevin Magnussen. Het is moeilijk kiezen. Ik heb veel geleerd van Fernando en Kimi, verrassend genoeg op dezelfde manier."

"Veel mensen denken dat zij enorm van elkaar verschillen, maar ze waren vergelijkbaar in de wijze waarop ze aan de eerste vrije training op vrijdag begonnen. De race op zondagmiddag was het enige dat telde. Het maakte Fernando en Kimi niets uit of ze snel of langzaam waren in de trainingen, ze waren zich gewoon aan het voorbereiden op de wedstrijd. Als jonge coureur wil je in elke sessie de snelste zijn. Je leert dat dit niet nodig is en dat je moet kijken naar hoe de omstandigheden veranderen van vrijdag naar zondag en hoe je daar met de set-up op kunt inspelen."

Kevin Magnussen

Ook zijn huidige stalgenoot Magnussen kreeg nog een complimentje van Grosjean. "Kevin is ontzettend snel. Hij is heel moeilijk te verslaan. Kevin is een echte Viking, hij verzaakt nooit. Hij is geweldig. Voordat hij mijn teamgenoot was, was ik minder blij met Kevin. Maar nu we samen voor hetzelfde team rijden, is het fantastisch om te weten dat hij alles uit de kast trekt om punten te scoren."

probleem is beide koereurs gross and kev willen te veel, als ze samen komen is geheid vuurwerk..

  Naja Grosjean neemt ze gelukkig als voorbeeld, echter bij de uitwerking snapt hij het niet helemaal... Alonso wint op een stratencircuit door de safetycar... Grosjean crasht op een stratencircuit tijdens een safetycar (beetje te veel gekeken naar Piquet jr) Kimi Raikkonen mist de opening ceremonie van Sao Paulo (because he was having a sh*t) ... Grosjean mist ook de opening ceremonie van Sao Paulo (maar had gewoon zijn auto al in de vangrail staan nog voor de warm up lap begon)
