Valtteri Bottas schrijft zich in voor virtuele GP van Monaco

Mercedes-coureur Valtteri Bottas doet komende zondag mee aan de virtuele Grand Prix van Monaco. Het is voor het eerst dat de Fin aan de start van een simrace ter vervanging van de echte Formule 1-race verschijnt. Hij vormt samen met Esteban Gutierrez een duo voor Mercedes.

Bottas voegt zich bij de zes collega's die al langer deelnemen aan de virtuele Grands Prix. Charles Leclerc, Alexander Albon, George Russell, Lando Norris, Nicholas Latifi en Antonio Giovinazzi zijn standaard van de partij bij het online surrogaat voor een echte Grand Prix.

Zij krijgen dit weekend gezelschap van twee andere rijders uit het Formule 1-veld. Naast Bottas zal namelijk ook Renault-rijder Esteban Ocon voor het eerst zijn opwachting maken in een virtuele Grand Prix.
