De Formule 1-teams zijn gearriveerd in Oostenrijk en maken zich op voor de eerste Grand Prix van het seizoen. Het geeft een raar gevoel voor alle betrokkenen omdat normaliter de eerste race plaatsvindt rond half maart in Australië, Melbourne, maar door de coronacrisis is alles opgeschoven en aangepast.

Teams blijven bij elkaar

Nu de teams naar Oostenrijk zijn gereisd krijgen we een inkijkje in de nieuwe maatregelen die zijn gesteld door de FOM. Zo moeten de teams bij elkaar blijven maar mogen geen contact hebben met andere teams. Ook mogen coureurs zoals het nu lijkt niet direct apart reizen. McLaren heeft er in ieder geval voor gekozen om met alle teamleden, die in Spielberg aanwezig zijn, in één vliegtuig te reizen. Ook coureurs Lando Norris en Carlos Sainz gingen mee met hetzelfde vliegtuig als de rest van de teamleden.

Ieder team heeft een eigen vliegtuig waarin het reist en op het vliegveld staan bussen klaar die permanent ter beschikking staan voor dat specifieke team. Sommige teams zitten in een groot hotel, maar niet bij elkaar met andere teams. Ook zou er voor enkele teams pop-up hotels opgebouwd zijn, op de lege campings rondom het circuit.

  Zo niet, gaan we dan raketbeest proberen te vinden en sturen we hem naar jullie toe. We sluiten jullie op in een grote ruimte, alwaar jullie naar hem moeten blijven luisteren tot jullie besluiten om weer te gaan racen.
