Norris denkt dat Red Bull te verslaan is

Het is de verwachting dat het team van Red Bull Racing ook dit jaar weer zal heersen in de Formule 1. De Oostenrijkse renstal heeft de touwtjes in de sport al zeker twee jaar stevig in handen. Lando Norris denkt echter dat zijn team McLaren in staat is om ze op bepaalde momenten te verslaan.

Red Bull kende vorig jaar een ongekend sterk seizoen in de Formule 1. Ze werden slechts één keer verslagen en aan de hand van Max Verstappen verbraken ze een vrachtlading aan records. Het was dan ook geen verrassing dat Verstappen wereldkampioen werd en dat Red Bull de constructeurstitel greep. Ze gelden als de absolute favorieten voor het aankomende seizoen, maar de concurrentie zit ook niet stil.

Bepaalde momenten

Bij het team van McLaren barsten ze namelijk van de ambities. Lando Norris is bijvoorbeeld enorm positief, maar wel realistisch. De Britse coureur spreekt zich uit bij RaceFans: "Als je gaat vragen of ze te verslaan zijn, dan ben je geneigd 'ja' te zeggen. Ik denk dat we 'ja' willen zeggen, want we waren vorig jaar al een paar keer heel dichtbij. Op bepaalde momenten wisten we ze ook te verslaan."

Heel seizoen

Norris kijkt verder naar het grote plaatje, maar op dat punt komt hij echter wel wat problemen tegen. De talentvolle Brit denkt namelijk nog steeds dat Red Bull heel lastig te verslaan is: "De vraag die dan overblijft, is of we ze kunnen verslaan over een heel seizoen. Ik denk dat dat de grote uitdaging zal zijn en ik denk dat dit heel erg lastig gaat worden als je kijkt naar hoe ze presteren. Ik ben dus optimistisch. Ik denk dat we ze op bepaalde momenten kunnen verslaan."

De plank misgeslagen….tja, als het een compleet nieuwe auto is, dan zou het kunnen….
Toch zou ik mijn geld er niet op inzetten @JMF….;)

  Kan maar zo dat Red Bull de plank heeft misgeslagen in het doorontwikkelen en McLaren net zo snel is.
  Norris zou zomaar gelijk kunnen krijgen dit jaar.

  Ze waren vanaf de zomer 2023 al met de auto bezig van dit jaar, alle zwakke punten de er waren
  zullen ze verbeterd hebben, + wat ze er nog meer aan gedaan hebben.
  
  Ik verwacht een nog betere auto van Red Bull.

  Ik las ergens dat RB20 dingen heeft van het zeropod design. Zou toch grappig zijn als RBR het wel werkend krijgt.

  Ik verwacht het ook niet @Nicos maar sinds de aankondiging van Lewis en het onderzoek naar Horner, heeft het alles in zich om een memorabel seizoen te worden waar niets te gek is.

Als Als Als, alles is mogelijk, maar realistisch gezien is de foutkans voor RB minimaal het hele concept is feitelijk op basis van 2023, dan nog is er een kans dat McL aansluiting kan vinden door hun updates! maar evengoed is er dus een kans dat het ook daar fout gaat.. we zullen het zien, iets binnen in mij zegt dat de Ferrari dit jaar enorm verbetert is en zei de uitdager worden! maar vooralsnog zullen we moeten wachten en het gaan zien

  Ik kijk nu vaak uit verveling races terug bij Sky sports en wat mij nu opvalt is dat Ferrari aan het eind van het seizoen er goed bij zat. Dus zou mij niks verbazen als ze een grote stap zetten. Alleen dat banden vreten moet wel opgelost zijn.

McLaren heeft meer ontwikkeling laten zien dan RBR in 2023. Misschien door de windtunneltijd.... maar het zou kunnen dat er nog rek in zit, meer dan bij RBR.

Vraag blijft of ze het eruit halen. Ze moeten eerst nog maar eens Perez verslaan... maar daar is wel een goede kans op.

Als Lando eindelijk zijn eerste overwinning gaat halen is het vanzelf sprekend dat hij de Bull heeft verslagen.

Max kon nog veel sneller zijn in vele GP's, omdat het niet nodig was, reed hij vlakke tijden.

Ik verwacht dat er de komende 2 jaar weinig te winnen zal zijn, voor de andere teams.

  Precies, waar Checo altijd moest stampen altijd moest stampen voor zijn resultaten was Max gewoon vaak aan het cruisen aan de kop van het veld. Die had gewoon nog een helebull overschot.

Zou kunnen, immers het ontwikkelplafond bij rbr komt dichbij. En genie Newey heeft vaker misgeslagen dan raak.
