Lando Norris over Ferrari: "Ze hebben de snelste auto in de bochten"

McLaren heeft het eerste weekend in Oostenrijk zichzelf meteen goed laten zien. De Britse renstal kwam met Lando Norris zelfs op het podium. McLaren is nog steeds niet de favoriet, maar zit wel dichtbij de top drie, al denkt Lando Norris dat de top drie niet lang meer bestaat zoals we hem nu kennen.

Mercedes is volgens veel insiders nog de favoriet tot de nieuwe reglementen in 2022 in zullen gaan. Het team ligt op veel vlakken voor op de concurrentie, maar Red Bull Racing sluipt rustig dichterbij, terwijl Ferrari steeds verder wegzakt. Het team van Max Verstappen en Alexander Albon had nooit van achteren concurrentie verwacht, maar dat is dit seizoen anders. Ferrari kan niet dichtbij Mercedes komen en McLaren komt steeds dichterbij Red Bull Racing. Hierdoor zijn de concurrenten van McLaren Red Bull en Ferrari.

Lando Norris was duidelijk over de snelheid van de Italiaanse grootmacht. "De Ferrari's zijn gewoon super traag op de rechte stukken. Ze hebben één van de snelste auto's in de bochten. Ze hebben veel weerstand en meer downforce."

Norris snapt niet wat er dit jaar aan de hand is met de Scuderia, want vorig seizoen waren ze goed op weg, maar nu is de snelheid ver te zoeken. "Ze zijn net als wij twee of drie jaar geleden langzaam in de bochten en op de rechte stukken. Zij zijn dan nog wel snel in de bochten, maar langzaam op de rechte stukken."

Lando Norris en zijn collega Carlos Sainz zullen dit weekend zich weer moeten bewijzen op de Red Bull Ring. Het team uit Woking staat er goed voor in het klassement na één race. Norris wist zelfs nog de snelste raceronde te rijden tijdens de eerste race.

Hij durft het gewoon niet te zeggen, maar wat ik al eerder schreef dit ga je de komende paar jaar houden hoe ze over Ferrari gaan praten, dan heb je het gewonnen.
