Nieuwe onderdelen voor Max Verstappen: "We gaan ze morgen testen"

Red Bull Racing is begonnen aan het vierde Grand Prix-weekend van dit jaar. Niet wetende wat het team dit keer te wachten staat, want net als de voorgaande weekenden heeft Max Verstappen weer veel nieuwe onderdelen op zijn RB16.

Het team hoopt met de nieuwe onderdelen een flinke stap vooruit te maken, zo hoopt ook de 22-jarige Nederlander. In Silverstone zei hij op de persconferentie van donderdag: "We hebben veel nieuwe onderdelen meegenomen maar Silverstone. We gaan testen welke onderdelen wel en welke niet werken."

"We zullen moeten zien welke onderdelen goed werken en welke niet. Er is sowieso ruimte voor verbetering en we leren nog elke dag bij."

Achterstand naar Mercedes

Het valt te bezien wat de achterstand op Mercedes dit weekend is. Dat het Duitse team weer zal domineren, daar heeft niemand twijfels over. Verstappen: "Ik heb geen idee wat ik ervan moet verwachten. Vorig jaar hadden we ook een flinke klap verwacht in de kwalificatie en toen bleek de achterstand twee tienden. Ze zullen hier ongetwijfeld weer domineren, en dan is het afwachten wat de achterstand is. Dat kan twee tienden zijn maar ook een seconde, al hoop ik niet op dat laatste."

      Op het stuurtje van de Mercedes W11 zit vanaf dit weekend een extra schermpje waarop Lewis Pac-man of Patience kan spelen. Je moet wat als je home-alone voor de rest uit aan het cruisen bent.

    Ik weet t eerlijk gezegd niet , Red Bull had vorig jaar ook zon mega achterstand de eerste 7 races maar in een klap lagen ze er weer heel dicht bovenop , tot Ferrari besloot om de boel te bedonderen

      Nee maar ze hebben wel 3 races achter elkaar gehad, dit wordt de 4e en die tijd tussen de 1e en de 4e is toch aanzienlijk korter.
      Ze hebben gewoon de updates die ze al hadden, maar moeten nu uitzoeken wat wel werkt, erg lastig karwei.

      Zelf Max is de weg kwijt wat betreft de achterstand op MB, hoe moeten wij nou weten onvoorspelbaar situatie.

      Vindt Max niet echt in paniek overkomen, maar hijzelf weet ook niet echt nog wat hij van de RB moet verwachten.
      Als ze wel een goeie balans vinden, dan is er meer mogelijk en zal de auto minder nerveus zijn.

      Iedere keer lijkt hun simulator tijdens de winter niet goed te zijn. Met Artificial Intelligence zouden ze dit kunnen verbeteren.

    ik bedoel ze moeten bijna een seconde winnen willen ze echt kans maken als de geruchten kloppen dat Mercedes niet alle kracht gebruikt van de motor

    We hebben nog niet eens gezien hoe hard Mercedes echt kan'
    Ik blijf niet meer thuis om te kijken naar de trainingen wat ik vele g vele jaren wel heb gedaan, de spanningb is weg, anderen hebben dit ook al geschreven eerder, maar ik moet er ook aan, ik had het me allemaal helemaal anders voorgesteld.
