"Haas blijft ook na 2021 in F1"

Guenter Steiner zegt dat het team van Haas waar hij leiding aan geeft ook na 2021 actief blijft in de F1. Dat schrijft hij in zijn vooruitblik op de Grand Prix van België van komend weekend. 

"Gene (teameigenaar, red.) heeft naar de zaken gekeken en geconcludeerd dat de F1 nog altijd een goede manier van promotie is voor zijn merk HAAS Automotion. Hij houdt bovendien van de F1. Ondanks dat het alles behalve een goedkope sport is, moeten de verschillen kleiner worden na invoering van de nieuwe regels. Daardoor wordt wordt het financieel interessanter voor de kleinere teams. Hij heeft daarom besloten om door te gaan", aldus de verklaring.

    Ze hebben recent de concorde-agreement getekend toch, die t/m 2025 van kracht is? Dat zou inhouden dat ze er sowieso de komende 5 jaar bij zijn.

      Ik dacht begrepen te hebben dat de teams, akkoord gegaan met de C.A., niet verplicht worden aldus tot 2025 te blijven. Uiteraard moet de intentie er zijn, maar ze zouden met valabele redenen ten allen tijde er uit kunnen stappen.

      Dat staat er ook. De hoofdletters hebben betrekking op het bedrijf van GENE HAAS. Die hebben een logo waarin Haas is geschreven als HAAS. Maar die heten ook gewoon Haas Automation. En geen automotion zoals in het artikel staat.

    Zonder dollen, top dat zij én de andere 9 teams sowieso blijven. Ik zie er alleen wel graag een 11e team bij!

      @ Cavallino: in dat geval heeft Gene haas waarschijnlijk een mummertje met Melania Trump gemaakt en heeft Grosjean daar videotapes van.

    Gene Haas is echt een held...top dat zo'n man zoveel geld erin pompt zodat wij naar minimaal 20 auto's kunnen kijken...elk team moet je koesteren tegenwoordig in deze schaarse tijden.

    Goed nieuws, Het is en blijft een liefhebber van Autosport en denk dat we blij moeten zijn dat hij ingestapt is toen der tijd. Fan van het team wil ik me niet noemen maar gun ze meer dan menig ander team. (Coureurs mogen wel veranderen:P)

    Voor de F1 is dit mooi en goed, Net zoals het moment dat hij instapte met het team. Een echte liefhebber van autosport en dat ook kan bekostigen en dat weet hoe hij dat moet doen. Ik wil niet zeggen dat ik een echte fan ben van het team, maar elke race hoop ik wel dat ze voor een stuntje zorgen... helaas met deze lineup zal dat wel een illusie wezen.
