Verstappen: "Er zijn hier weinig langzame bochten, wat altijd erg fijn is"

Zo horen alle liefhebbers van autosport een coureur graag. Aan het woord is ene Max Verstappen. Langzame bochten, daar doet hij het niet voor, zou je bijna denken. Max Verstappen heeft er duidelijk zin: dit weekend staat de Grand Prix van België op het programma.

Vooral de snelle bochten van het circuit van de Grote Prijs van België maken Verstappen extra vrolijk. "Ik hou van Spa-Francorchamps, het is mijn favoriete circuit op de kalender, dus ik kijk er altijd naar uit om daar te rijden", zegt de coureur van Red Bull op verstappen.com.

"Er zijn over het hele circuit hoogteverschillen, je gaat op en neer en er zijn weinig langzame bochten, wat altijd erg fijn is, omdat je echt de volle snelheid ervaart."

De 22-jarige F1-coureur wijst ook op de lange rechte stukken op het circuit in de Ardenne, waar je kunt inhalen. "Ik verwacht dat Mercedes heel snel zal zijn. Ook de jongens achter ons in de kwalificatie zullen er echter heel dichtbij zitten."

Verstappen eindigde in 2018 als derde op het circuit van Spa, maar viel in 2017 en vorig jaar uit.

Verstappen: "De afgelopen jaren is het wat betreft resultaten voor ons een beetje op en neer gegaan, maar je weet maar nooit. We verwachten niet dat deze race dit jaar onze favoriet zal zijn wat betreft de lay-out, maar we zullen hard pushen, zoals we tot nu toe bij elke race hebben gedaan."

Zo zijn we weer aanbeland bij het mooiste circuit van de kalender (naar mijn mening, en de mening van velen).
Hopelijk zien we een interessante race, en kan Verstappen de strijd aan met Mercedes.
Beetje natte weersomstandigheden kunnen helpen, heb gekeken naar komende zondag, neerslagkans van 80% dus dat zit wel goed!
Max zijn track record op Spa is niet al te best, hopelijk kan hij zich dit weekend revancheren

Het wordt een regenrace max !dat staat zo goed als zeker in de ardennen kan je er van op aan de wolken blijven daar hangen tegen de heuvels.Volgens buienradar zal het zelfs goed regenen

  Tsjah. Ik hoop het. Maar een wolk kan natuurlijk ook aan de verkeerde kant van de heuvel blijven hangen. Kans is overigens bij regen nog groter dat Hamilton wint.

welke lay-out wel dan? Mercedes is dit jaar in de langzame bochten ook gewoon sneller.
