Ferrari zet protest tegen roze Mercedes van Racing Point door

Ferrari zet zijn beroep tegen de 'roze Mercedes' van Racing Point voort. Nadat Renault, de aanstichter van de protesten tegen de Mercedes-achtige kopie, onlangs introk, ging het gerucht dat Ferrari dit voorbeeld snel zou volgen. Van Renault werd verwacht dat het juist door zou gaan aangezien het aangegeven had in beroep te gaan tegen de uitspraak.

Ferrari blijkt nu het protest op te pakken en door te zetten, zo bevestigde Ferrari-teambaas Mattia Binotto. Hij legt ook uit waarom het Italiaanse team, dat in crisis verkeerd door de slechte prestaties, het er niet bij laat zitten: "Ja, we hebben ons protest bevestigd. De reden is dat we er volledig van overtuigd zijn dat wat Racing Point dit seizoen heeft gedaan niet juist is."

Voorwaarde om beroep in te trekken

Auto Motor und Sport beweert dat de regels voor 2021 duidelijk zullen worden gemaakt, waarbij de FIA het directe kopiëren van auto's moet stoppen door 3D-camera's en andere scanapparatuur uit de paddock te weren en teams te vragen hun ontwerpdocumenten te rechtvaardigen.

"Als er regelgeving komt, een technische richtlijn voor de toekomst in 2021 waarvan we er vrij zeker van zijn dat het niet mogelijk zal zijn om te kopiëren, dan zijn we uiteindelijk klaar om ons beroep in te trekken", voegde Ferrari-teambaas Binotto eraan toe.

De Italiaan zei ook tegen Sky Italia: "Zelfs in de industriële wereld is kopiëren niet toegestaan. We willen duidelijkheid en als we die krijgen, zullen we het beroep intrekken."

Deze situatie laat gewoon (wederom) zien waarom Ferrari nu, maar ook voor de toekomst blijft falen. Teveel tijd spenderen aan de verkeerde dingen.

Het is natuurlijk een beetje vreemd dat ferrari dit wil maar ze hebben wel ballen en een mening. Alle Mercedes teams hebben zich laf terug getrokken. Mclaren idem ondanks dat Zak liep te mekkeren in de pers. RedBull houdt zich helemaal op de achtergrond, alleen Marko doet weer eens krachtige uitspraken op ServUs TV om ze vervolgens niet in de praktijk te brengen. Ferrari gaat tenminste gewoon door ondaks dat ze zelf de hele boel geflest hebben. Ik mag dat wel, gewoon je eigen weg gaan wat mensen er ook van denken. Forza Ferrari! Of nu hotsjik hobbelpaard.

Binotto heeft dus nog nooit zaken gedaan met china? Auteursrecht is daar een woord met variabele betekenis, kopieer jij hun dan mag dat niet, kopieren zij jou dan is er niets aan de hand want het is niet hetzelfde want het lijkt er misschien op maar de kleur is 0,0001% anders of iets anders futiels.
