Red Bull was niet best: ook pitstop valt buiten de punten

Het was niet het weekend van Red Bull Racing in Monza tijdens de Grand Prix van Italië.

Daar waar het team voor zichzelf nog wat eer had kunnen behalen aan de normaal zo bijzonder snelle pitstops die het team doorgaans laat zien, valt ook op dat gebied nog weinig eer te behalen voor de mannen uit Milton Keynes.

In de DHL Fastest Pitstop-awards prijkt de naam van het team dit keer in de onderste regionen.

De pitstop van Antonio Giovinazzi was het snelste en daarmee krijgt Alfa Romeo in dit lijstje 25 punten. Ook teamgenoot Kimi Raikkonen leverde in deze ranglijst nog 10 extra punten op. In het algehele klassement voor pitstops -ja, het bestaat écht- komt Red Bull Racing nog altijd stevig over: het team staat nog fier aan kop in de "DHL Fastest Piststop-Awards".

Titel

De titel waar het écht om draait in de Formule 1 lijkt na de GP van Italië steeds verder weg voor Max Verstappen. Helmut Marko liet na afloop aan journalisten weten: blijft maar een beetje uit zijn buurt, want Verstappen realiseert zich nu dat het kampioenschap dit jaar niet haalbaar meer is.
