Mercedes koopt 20 procent aandelen Aston Martin

Mercedes moet Aston Martin toegang geven tot zijn geavanceerde technologieën en in ruil daarvoor zal het belang van 20% krijgen in het Britse Aston Martin. De naam van het Britse bedrijf keert volgend jaar terug in de Formule 1, aangezien eigenaar Lawrence Stroll van Racing Point ook eigenaar is van Aston Martin.

De samenwerking tussen het team in zijn huidige vorm en Mercedes is al hoog, met het Duitse team dat motoren levert en velen het gevoel hebben dat de RP20 in feite een kopie is van de Silver Arrows uit 2019.

Hoe dan ook, de samenwerking tussen de twee partijen lijkt verder te groeien nu er een deal is bereikt voor Mercedes om Aston Martin toegang te geven tot technologieën in ruil voor een belang van maximaal 20%.

Racing Point-eigenaar en Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll: "Dit is een moment voor Aston Martin waarin we alles omgooien. Het is het resultaat van zes maanden van enorme inspanning om het bedrijf succesvol te positioneren om de enorme en goede kansen die voor ons liggen te benutten."

"Ik ben buitengewoon tevreden met de voortgang tot nu toe en dat we wat betreft timing voorlopen op de planning, ondanks het feit dat we in deze meest uitdagende tijden opereren. We zetten weer een belangrijke stap voorwaarts, nu ons langetermijnpartnerschap met Mercedes-Benz AG naar een ander niveau gaat en ze één van de grootste aandeelhouders van het bedrijf worden."

"Door middel van deze nieuwe uitgebreide overeenkomst verzekeren we de toegang tot technologieën van wereldklasse ter ondersteuning van onze langetermijnplannen voor productuitbreiding, inclusief elektrische en hybride aandrijflijnen, en dit partnerschap ondersteunt ons vertrouwen in de toekomst."

Naast Lawrence Stoll en Mercedes bezit ook Mercedes-teambaas en ondernemer Toto Wolff een percentage van de aandelen in Aston Martin.

2022 Toto en het team dat het succes bracht bij Mercedes gaat over naar Aston Martin.

2022 Mercedes trekt zich terug uit de formule 1 en levert steun aan Aston Martin.

2022 Aston Martin wint wedstrijden. 2023 Aston Martin doet mee voor het WK en pakt de titel. Vettel eindelijk zijn 5e wereldtitel.

Dat is straf!! Wat een commitment in deze tijden Aandeel staat nu op 54,5 - kwam ven 50 en dit zou wel eens het keerpunt kunnen betekenen om verder te stijgen.

Dit is goed nieuws voor Aston Martin, ze hebben het al jaren financieel zwaar. Zo blijft de productie van hun prachtige wagens voor de komende jaren gewaarborgd. Dit heeft, geloof ik, geen directie betrekking op de F1.

  Denk het niet. Ze kunnen redelijk goedkoop de aandelen kopen en daarnaast is het een prachtig merk een zekere aanvullen voor Mercedes. En misschien zit ik er totaal naast. Is ook lastig om te controleren denk ik.

Die Lawrance Stroll heeft in totaal voor 500 miljoen in Aston Martin gestopt.
Het is een zeer succesvol zakenman die doet zoiets niet zomaar.
Ik denk dat hij van het bedrijf weer een succesvolle onderneming kan maken incl. de F1.
