Kubica in actie voor Alfa Romeo in Bahrein en Abu Dhabi

Robert Kubica zal dit seizoen nog twee keer op vrijdag in actie komen achter het stuur van Alfa Romeo. De Pool, die dit jaar de reservecoureur van het Zwitserse team is met de steun van grote sponsor Orlen, vertelde TVP Sport dat hij zal rijden tijdens een van de komende raceweekenden in Bahrein, en dan weer tijdens de finale van Abu Dhabi.

De 35-jarige coureur, die in het DTM rijdt en vijftiende eindigde in het kampioenschap, zei hierover: "Mijn rol zal precies dezelfde zijn als voorheen. Ik zal snel weer moeten wennen aan een Formule 1-auto."

"Mijn doel is om zoveel mogelijk gegevens te verzamelen om het team te helpen zich voor te bereiden op het weekend, en om me te helpen begrijpen waar de ontwikkeling van de auto naartoe gaat en wat er de afgelopen maanden is veranderd."

Kubica's plannen voor 2021 zijn onduidelijk, maar hij heeft bevestigd dat hij volgend jaar zeker niet in de Formule 1 zal racen.
