Daniel Ricciardo heeft dinsdag zijn eerste kilometers als McLaren-coureur afgelegd. De van Renault overgekomen Australiër nam een deel van de filmdag met de nieuwe MCL35M op het circuit van Silverstone voor zijn rekening. McLaren heeft deze video van het debuut van Ricciardo voor de Britse renstal gedeeld, inclusief onboard-beelden en commentaar van de zevenvoudig Grand Prix-winnaar zelf.

Persoonlijk ben ik niet zo'n fan van deze kleurstelling. Het blijft bij mij altijd een beetje "goedkoop" overkomen; zeker in vergelijking met de mooie zilveren kleuren van McLaren van een aantal jaren geleden. Maar dat is een kwestie van smaak ;-)
