Red Bull Racing sluit Therabody als nieuwe partner in de armen

Het team van Red Bull Racing verwelkomt Therabody als nieuwe partner. Het bedrijf, gespecialiseerd in wellness-technologie, gaat bij de Oostenrijkse renstal aan de slag als 'Official Recovery Partner'. Fitheid en herstel zullen gedurende het 23 races tellende seizoen 2021 ontzettend belangrijk zijn. Coureurs Max Verstappen en Sergio Perez en de leden van de pitcrew krijgen daarom de beschikking over apparatuur van Therabody om hen te helpen bij de warming-up voor en het herstel na inspanning.

Red Bull Racing-teambaas Christian Horner: "Van buitenaf lijkt de Formule 1 fysiek gezien misschien niet de meest intensieve sport, maar schijn bedriegt. De monteurs werken bijvoorbeeld keihard aan hun conditie. Als ze niet topfit zouden zijn, zouden wij geen pitstops van minder twee seconden kunnen realiseren. Nadeel daarvan is wel dat ze soms last hebben van spierpijn. De samenwerking met Therabody moet helpen om dat te verminderen en zal het team helpen om beter en sneller te herstellen na een inspanning."

Jason Wersland, oprichter van Therabody, voegt toe: "Red Bull Racing staat wereldwijd bekend om hun snelheid. Van de rijders tot de pitcrew, iedereen werkt zowel fysiek als mentaal gezien ontzettend hard en een effectief herstel van die inspanningen is cruciaal voor het succes van het team. Therabody is vereerd om samen te werken met Red Bull Racing en protocollen te ontwikkelen om hen te helpen hun herstel te verbeteren en performance te maximaliseren."

Therabody, tja ik heb hier thuis de beschikking tot een stoomcabine (een zeer ruime overigens), een infraroodsauna en een zwembad maar gebruik het allemaal zeer zelden.
Mijn vrouw en kinderen vinden het heel prettig en ik mag het onderhouden 😂
