Alonso laat na het seizoen titanium platen uit kaak verwijderen

Alpine-coureur Fernando Alonso moet nog een keer onder het mes vanwege de kaakbreuk die hij eerder dit jaar opliep bij een aanrijding tijdens een trainingsritje op de fiets. In het ziekenhuis zijn namelijk twee titanium platen in zijn bovenkaak aangebracht om alles op zijn plaats te houden tijdens het herstel. Een operatie is nodig om die platen ook weer te verwijderen.

Alonso wacht hier echter mee tot na afloop van het Formule 1-seizoen 2021. De Spanjaard kruipt morgen in de Alpine A521 voor zijn eerste testdag op weg naar zijn comeback in de koningsklasse van de autosport. "Ik heb nog twee titanium platen in mijn bovenkaak die er aan het einde van het jaar uitgehaald zullen worden. Er gaat dus nog wat gebeuren zodra het kampioenschap voorbij is, maar dit heeft geen impact op mijn professionele leven", verklaarde de tweevoudig wereldkampioen.

Hij benadrukt dat hij zich volledig fit en klaar voor een rentree voelt. "Ik verwacht geen enkel probleem", aldus Alonso. "Ik train alweer twee of drie weken volledig normaal. Maandag en dinsdag zat ik nog in de simulator, dus het beïnvloedt mijn voorbereiding niet echt."

"Ik heb alleen wat marketingactiviteiten en filmdagen gemist, maar om heel eerlijk te zijn vind ik dat niet zo erg. Dat heb ik gisterenmiddag allemaal mogen inhalen, dus ik heb een intensieve dag aan marketingactiviteiten achter de rug. Ik voel me prima. Op het professionele vlak en wat rijden betreft ben ik 100 procent fit en klaar", sluit de Alpine-coureur af.

  Nando is mooi de Sjaak met die plaatjes. Bij elke vliegreis krijgt hij het bevel om na de metaaldetector ff gebukt te gaan staan, en komen de witte handschoentjes tevoorschijn voor een diepgaand onderzoekje.

Gaat ie nog lekker vinden die operatie, weet ik uit ervaring.
Onderkaak in 5 stukken door bedrijfsongeval.
Chirurg vertelde al dat plaatjes eruit moesten i.vm. grote kans op infectie.
Dus met plaatselijke verdoving van 6 grote spuiten.
Gaan ze je tandvlees open snijden met een soort van zagend geluid van de scalpel.
Daarna met een schroevendraaier de schroefjes en plaatjes verwijderen.
Hoor je lekker knarsen.
Dan met een water oplossende hechting de boel weer aan elkaar naaien.
Heb er verders weinig last van gehad.
Wel een blijvende beschadigde zenuw, waardoor helaas eten niet meer plezierig is.
Moet het helaas met veel vloeibaar voedsel doen, als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel ;)
Overigens in de meeste gevallen is verwijderen niet noodzakelijk.

  De mijne in 3 stukken, inderdaad met hetzelfde verhaal er na verloop van tijd uitgehaald.
  Gelukkig onder volledige narcose, gelijk mijn 3 resterende verstandskiezen eruit gehaald. Dus had rondom een schrale bek.
  
  Gelukkig op een gevoelig gebit na geen klachten meer, mooi klote dat je dieet het grootste deel bestaat uit vloeibaar.

  Minder juist. Hij overweegt ook om z’n onderbenen door stukken carbon te vervangen. Aerodynamisch gevormd zodat hij er bij het fietsen ook profijt van heeft.
