Max Verstappen krijgt nieuwe vloer voor de Grand Prix van Bahrein

Ondanks het feit dat Max Verstappen gister zijn RB16B op dominante wijze op pole wist te zetten, verliep de kwalificatie van de Grand Prix van Bahrein niet geheel probleemloos. Tijdens één van zijn snelle ronden raakte Verstappen erg wijd in bocht 2, wat ervoor zorgde dat hij iets te hard over de kerb ging.

Als gevolg vroeg Verstappen zijn engineer of hij schade aan zijn vloer had. Ook viel er op de live feed te zien dat er een onderdeel van zijn vloer af vloog als gevolg van het hard over de kerb gaan.

Inmiddels is bevestigd dat Max Verstappen een nieuwe vloer gemonteerd heeft gekregen voor de race, zo meldt de FIA. Één van de onderdelen die van de vloer zijn vervangen is de zogeheten T-tray. Verstappen zal geen gridstraf incasseren voor het vervangen van zijn vloer.
