Voor Grand Prix van Canda in 2017 wist Mercedes-coureur Lewis Hamilton zich op pole te kwalificeren. Toentertijd was dit goed voor zijn 65e pole position, en evenaarde daarmee zijn jeugd-held Ayrton Senna. Om Lewis Hamilton hiermee te feliciteren wilde de familie van Ayrton Senna wel een heel speciaal geschenk geven aan de inmiddels geridderde Brit.

De familie van Senna schonk Lewis een originele race-helm van Senna die gedragen is tijdens meerdere races - geen twijfel dat Lewis uit ongeloof zijn bidon uit zijn handen liet vallen. Kort daarna evenaarde en verbeterde Lewis Hamilton ook het record van 68 pole positions op naam van Michael Schumacher, en staat momenteel op 98.
