Alfa Romeo ontwikkelt C41 voorlopig door om top tien te bereiken

Alfa Romeo is na vier Grands Prix in 2021 een van de drie teams die nog met lege handen staan. Williams en Haas F1 zijn de andere twee renstallen die nog puntloos zijn. Van die drie teams maakt Alfa Romeo waarschijnlijk de meeste kans om de hatelijke nul af te schudden.

De Italiaans-Zwitserse renstal (de naam is wel Alfa Romeo, maar achter de schermen heet de organisatie nog Sauber Motorsport, red.) bungelt aan de achterkant van de middenmoot. Zodoende komen Antonio Giovinazzi en Kimi Raikkonen nog wel eens in de buurt van de posities om punten te scoren.

Bovendien ontwikkelt Alfa Romeo de C41 voorlopig door. Engineer Xevi Pujolar: "We pushen om upgrades door te voeren en we hebben wat nieuwe onderdelen in aantocht voor de komende races. We zijn absoluut bereid om het gat te dichten en te knokken met de teams voor ons in een poging om de top tien te bereiken."
