Blonde Bond-stuntgirl voegt zich bij Aston Martin Formule 1-team

Stunt-coureur en W Series-rijder Jessica Hawkins voegt zich bij het Formule 1-team van Aston Martin. De blondine wordt 'rijders-ambassadeur'.

Dat meldt persbureau REUTERS. Het team van Sebastian Vettel en Lance Stroll kan dus rekenen op wat extra girl-power, al is het nog niet helemaal duidelijk wat die nieuwe rol precies gaat behelzen.

'Variaties en verschillende disciplines'

Volgens berichten op Twitter zou de blonde dame de leiding van het team de komende dagen beter leren kennen. In een statement dat zojuist uitkwam stelt het team dat ze aan de gang gaat met partners en "op verschillende gebieden en in een variatie van disciplines."

De 26-jarige Britse laat wat van haar kwaliteiten zien in de nieuwste James Bond-film "No Time to Die", die nog moet uitkomen.

"Ik houd ervan om auto's zijwaarts te sturen net zoals ik van racen houd", zo citeert REUTERS de blondine. De link tussen het Formule 1-team van Aston Martin en James Bond-figuren is dit jaar duidelijk: bij de teampresentatie begin dit seizoen was actrice Gemma Arterton, bekend van "Quantum of Solace" te zien. Daniel Craig stuurde toen ook een boodschap ter ondersteuning van het team met de groene auto.

Jessica Hawkins is een voormalig karting kampioen in Groot-Brittannië. Ze heeft echter te weinig ervaring die benodigd is om een superlicentie in de Formule 1 te kunnen bemachtigen, dus we gaan de jonge Britse dan ook niet achter het stuur in actie zien.

Als je een leuk gezichtje kunt combineren met iemand die ook nog weet hoe je hard kunt rijden is dat mooi.
