Sergio Perez is relaxed over zijn vrijdag in Frankrijk: "P12 niet zo slecht als het misschien lijkt"

De Mexicaanse teamgenoot van Verstappen Sergio Perez eindigde als twaalfde tijdens de tweede vrije training in de Grand Prix van Frankrijk op Paul Ricard. Perez was ruim een seconde langzamer dan de Red Bull van Verstappen. 

 Moeten we ons zorgen maken, Sergio? 

"Ik denk dat ik gewoon een redelijk slechte run had, ik had ook last van verkeer en een aantal beslissingen die wij namen hadden vielen niet de juiste kant op", legt Perez uit.

"Ik denk dat wij niet zo slecht er voor staan als je misschien zou verwachten als je dit zo ziet. Max had een goede dag en was de hele dag op snelheid en ik denk dat wij er gewoon goed voor staan hier. Hopelijk krijg ik het morgen wel voor elkaar, maar dan is het nog wel nodig dat wij vanavond nog wel wat snelheid zien te vinden en wat issues beter gaan begrijpen, maar dan zouden we er gewoon moeten staan.        

Zaterdag is de kwalificatie voor de race van zondag, die om 15.00 uur begint.

      Max gemiddeld 1.37,8 en Perez 1.38,6 op de Medium (gebruikte banden).
      Bottas was sneller, 1.37,3 op nieuwe banden en maar 5 rondjes.
      Ze reden wel met de nieuwe PU, dus rustig aan gedaan.

    Weet ‘t niet hoor. Bottas was ook ergens 12e mee en kreeg toen slecht nieuws...

    Perez reed een totaal ander programma dan dat Max deed.
    Een andere motorsetting en ging niet echt voor een snelle ronde.
    Dat vind ik mooi aan Perez,die zit niet te kijken dat hij 4 tienden achter Max staat,maar is volledig bezig met de race afstelling en Albon en Gasly keken veel meer naar de achterstand tegenover Max en focuste op de verkeerde dingen tijdens een race-weekend.

      Beetje hetzelfde zoals de Nederlandse verslaggevers een training verslaan. Alleen maar focussen op gereden (snelste) tijden alsof het een kwalificatie is en daar een oordeel aan hangen.

    Compleet Offtopic; Nu dat Dhr Rutte zijn toespraak gehouden heeft, man man man dat wordt een regelrechte GEKKenhuis daaro op Zandvoort. Ik denk dat dit wel in de geschiedenis boeken gaat dat niemand zal vergeten. Ik denk dan ook voor de mensen thuis, geen F1 auto te horen is op TV. Voor de negatievelingen aldaar, di hopen natuurlijk dat Max uit gaat vallen.

    Geezoes, naar LINKS, naar rechts, en we schuiven zo aan bij de Verenigd Koningsrijken / UK. Ik hou mijn hart vast. De wereld zal toekijken hoe gigantisch gek wij zijn.
