Charles Leclerc heeft het te doen met de fans na deceptie op Spa-Francorchamps

Charles Leclerc leeft mee met de fans langs het circuit, en thuis op de bank. De Ferrari-coureur weet dat de miljoenen TV-kijkers, maar vooral de fans langs de baan, zijn getrakteerd op een teleurstelling.

Via Twitter laat de Ferrari-coureur weten bedroefd te zijn en mee te leven met de F1-fans.

"Ik ben bedroefd dat wij niet konden gaan racen vandaag. Ik voel echt mee met de mensen die zo lang hebben zitten wachten langs de baan in de regen en ook de TV-kijkers thuis. Hopelijk wordt het komende zondag veel leuker", schrijft Leclerc.

Hij sluit zijn bericht af met een emoticon van vingers die gekruist zijn. Dat is geheel terecht, nu er nog een donkere wolk boven de Grand Prix van Zandvoort zou kunnen schuiven aangezien de rechter maandag of dinsdag uitspraak doet over een zaak die werd aangespannen door milieuactivisten.

Zij willen de vergunning van de Nederlandse Grand Prix op Zandvoort te elfder ure laten schorsen vanwege de vermeend te hoge uitstoot van stikstof. 'Fingers crossed' voor een leukere Grand Prix op Nederlandse bodem is dan ook wellicht op z'n plaats.

Erger dan dit kan bijna niet, dus Zandvoort wordt sowieso veel leuker.. Wordt mooi weer voorspeld voor volgende week op dit moment en het publiek zit veel compacter en dichter op de baan.. Gaat gave sfeer geven denk ik, ongeacht hoe de race zal zijn..

  Tenzij er inderdaad ge-jokkebrokt is over de hoeveelheid uitstoot en de rechter daarin mee gaat.
  Dan zou de wind ineens anders kunnen waaien.

  Ik denk dat er geen rechter er zichzelf 3 dagen voor tijd er zich aan durft te branden zon rechter als ie er al in meegaat iets verzinnen dat maatregelen pas na dit weekend in zullen gaan
