DRS-onderdeel Verstappen vervangen, geen straf voor de Nederlander

Max Verstappen ervaarde gister in de kwalificatie een probleempje met zijn DRS. Het zou voor de Nederlander natuurlijk niet prettig zijn als hij dezelfde problemen tijdens de race in Zandvoort weer voor zijn kiezen krijgt.

Red Bull vond gister de oorzaak van het probleem en heeft dit dan ook verholpen. Het team heeft de zogenaamde 'DRS actuator' vervangen. Dat is het systeem dat reageert als de coureur in kwestie het DRS-knopje op het stuur indrukt.

Verstappen hoeft niet te vrezen voor een gridstraf. De aanpassing is dan wel in het parc fermé gedaan maar dat betekent niet dat er ook een straf inzit. De FIA heeft Red Bull namelijk toestemming gegeven om het onderdeel te vervangen dus is het goed. Verstappen kan dus zonder zorgen aan de start van de race verschijnen.

Het beste is dat hij de hele DRS knop niet nodig heeft vandaag. Dan rijd hij de hele wedstrijd mooi vooraan 😉
