McLaren pakt op Monza derde plek af van Ferrari in het WK: "Extreem trots!"

Waar Max Verstappen en Lewis Hamilton afdropen schreeuwden ze bij McLaren de longen uit het lijf. Ze werden eerste en tweede en haalde daardoor Ferrari in in het constructeurskampioenschap.

McLaren-CEO Zak Brown mocht achteraf mee naar het podium en was vol vreugde. Tegenover Sky Sports liet hij weten trots te zijn op alles dat McLaren ademt: "Extreem trots op alle mannen en vrouwen bij McLaren. Andreas (Seidl) en zijn team van leiderschap, mijn leiderschap. Ik ben blij dat we een deal hebben gesloten met Andreas. Hij bindt de coureurs en ik neem de prijzen in ontvangst op het podium, haha!"

Het was een succesvolle middag voor het Britse team. Ze klimmen in het constructeurskampioenschap over Ferrari heen en staan nu derde. McLaren heeft nu 215 punten terwijl Ferrari er maar 201,5 heeft.
