Horner: "Adrian Newey heeft nieuw contract ondertekend"

Het huidige seizoen loopt vooralsnog op rolletjes voor het team van Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen is in een felle titelstrijd verwikkeld en voor de motorafdeling zijn al enkele grote vissen binnen gehengeld. En het allerbelangrijkste is dat ook Adrian Newey binnenboord blijft.

De belangrijke Red Bull-man was onderdeel van een aantal wilde geruchten die de ronde deden. Zo werd er door sommige beweerd dat hij Red Bull ging verlaten en naar Aston Martin zou gaan. De man achter kampioensauto's van Williams, McLaren en Red Bull blijft echter het team waar hij al geruime tijd in dienst is.

Nieuw contract

In gesprek met de Italiaanse sportkrant La Gazzetta dello Sport spreekt Horner zich uit over zijn collega: “Adriaan is blij met ons en heeft zijn contract verlengd. Hij werkt al 16 jaar bij Red Bull en is dol op onze manier van werken. Hij blijft super positief.”

Dat betekent dat Red Bull op volle oorlogssterkte door zal gaan met hun jacht op de wereldtitel. Verstappen is immers in een ferm duel om de titel verwikkeld en ook de contouren voor 2022 worden steeds meer zichtbaar. Met het verlengen van het contract van Newey zijn de belangrijkste rollen allemaal weer vervult.

    Deze man is meer dan geniaal, dat kun je onder andere zien aan zijn mondkap. Hij heeft dat zo uitgetekend dat er voldoende ruimte zit onder aan je kin, waardoor je fatsoenlijk kunt ademen.

      maar die mondkap is wel geniaal, 's avonds kan hij langs de onderzijde de aardappelen naar binnen schuiven terwijl hij het kapje ophoudt en zo zijn tafelgenoten beschermt tegen Covid

    Laat hem, leerlingen maken van zijn kunde.

    Dát gevoel hebben om voor een racewagen te knielen en dan te denken, wat luchtstroom kan botsen.
    Mijn kot(s), die Logitec p720 camera's op wat daken van een F1 bolide, gaan ze niet met GoPro in zee? Met 4k door over sommige banen, je zit in zo'n karretje.

    Ach de toe -komst en mijn de toen MSX tijden en erna dat IBM 8086 ding. Met wat jaar zit je in een F1 auto, en je beleeft het mee samen, met een simulatie-module.
