Geen penalty voor Fernando Alonso na kwalificatie

Het was eventjes billen knijpen voor Fernando Alonso in Turkije. De ervaren Spanjaard moest zich melden bij de stewards omdat hij niet zou hebben afgeremd tijdens dubbele gele vlaggen in Q1. Het loopt met een sisser af voor de tweevoudig wereldkampioen, hij krijgt geen straf.

Volgens de stewards was Alonso zich namelijk bewust van het feit dat er met gele vlaggen werd gezwaaid. De stewards zagen dat Alonso geen snelle tijd had neer gezet tijdens de code geel. Zijn volgende ronde was namelijk 3,5 seconden sneller. Dit betekent dat Alonso morgen vanaf de vijfde stek mag starten.

Dit kan toch aan de data gezien worden of Alonso minder gas heeft gegeven op de plek waar het geel gezwaaid werd.
