Horner zet zinnen op constructeurstitel: "Krijgen geen cent bij titel van coureurs"

Red Bull is dit seizoen een echte uitdager voor Mercedes. De Oostenrijkse formatie daagt met Max Verstappen Lewis Hamilton uit in de strijd om de wereldtitel. Ook in de strijd om de constructeurstitel maakt Red Bull nog kans, al is dat verschil inmiddels 36 punten.

Teambaas Christian Horner gaat dan ook elke weer met plezier naar het circuit. Tegenover Sky Sports spreekt hij zich uit: "Het is enorm leuk om naar elke race te gaan. Elke race zijn er weer kansen dat ziet en voelt het gehele team. Nog een paar races te gaan en alles staat ook nog eens op het spel. Of we er klaar voor zijn? Absoluut. Houden we hiervan? Absoluut."

De coureurstitel is natuurlijk de heilige graal. De meeste mensen herinneren zich de wereldkampioen maar niet de winnaar bij de constructeurs. Toch heeft Horner ook wel zin in die titel: "Het grote geld ligt bij het winnen van het constructeurskampioenschap. Wij krijgen geen rooie cent voor de wereldtitel bij de coureurs."
