Lawrence Stroll juicht mogelijke komst Andretti toe: "Zouden goede toevoeging zijn voor de sport"

Het begint er steeds meer op te lijken dat de naam Andretti zijn herintrede gaat maken in de Formule 1. Michael Andretti wil namelijk het team van Alfa Romeo (Sauber) overnemen. Het nieuws zorgt in ieder geval voor veel positieve reacties.

De geruchten zijn inmiddels ook het Formule 1-circus binnen gedrongen. Aston Martin-eigenaar Lawrence Stroll is in ieder geval enthousiast over het nieuws. De Canadees reageert bij Reuters: "Andretti is een grote naam. Ik ken de familie en ik denk dat ze een goede toevoeging voor de sport zijn, als het waar is."

Familievriend Stroll heeft echter geen nieuwe scoop te melden. Hij laat zich uit: "Ik weet niet veel meer dan wat ik heb gehoord in de paddock heb gehoord de afgelopen race. Ik hoorde dat er potentieel wat activiteit was daar." Het is in ieder geval duidelijk dat de interesse vanuit Amerika steeds groter wordt voor de Formule 1. Volgend jaar staan er immers twee races in de States op de kalender.
