Grosjean komt met boek over horrorcrash: "Hele wereld heeft het over een wonder"

Afgelopen jaar kwam de Formule 1-carrière van Romain Grosjean met een klap ten einde. De Fransman beleefde in Bahrein zijn inmiddels bekende vuurbal-crash. Nu is het bijna een jaar later en lijkt Grosjean inmiddels herboren met een succesvol IndyCar-seizoen achter de rug.

De Fransman heeft nu besloten om een boek te schrijven over zijn heftige incident. Tegenover F1Only vertelt hij over het boek dat hij moet zijn vrouw schreef: "Hoe en waarom overleefde ik het? De eerste vraag kan ik makkelijk beantwoorden, de tweede minder. De gehele wereld heeft het over een wonder en ik moet dat stigma dragen."

Het boek van Grosjean gaat niet alleen over zijn vuurbal incident. De voormalig Haas-coureur praat ook nog over zijn jeugd, zijn familie en zijn Formule 1-loopbaan. Tegenwoordig gaat het Grosjean voor de wind. Hij kende een zeer succesvol in de IndyCar wat hem een transfer naar het topteam van Andretti opleverde.

    De gehele wereld heeft het over een wonder? Echt niet, want ik geloof sowieso niet in die soort onzin.. Hij heeft gewoon geluk gehad, meer niet.. Maar als hij zich er speciaal door wil voelen, ga je gang, ik geef alleen mijn mening..

      Dat het een wonder genoemd wordt komt door de vertaling van 'miracle' letterlijk vertaald is het 'wonder' maar wat wel van toepassing zou zijn in het nederlands is de uitdrukking een miraculeuze ontsnapping.
      Anderzijds vind ik het toch wel een wonder, je kan wel alleen zeggen dat hij geluk gehad heeft maar maak eens een optelsommetje van de omstandigheden?
      Hij sneed dwars door de vangrail waar net een soort van zwakke plek was, hij raakte niet buiten bewustzijn door de immense klap, hij was in staat om er redelijk snel uit te kruipen. Wonder boven wonder zou ik zeggen

    Effe iets anders, die nek van die Grosjean! Van de zijkant gefotografeerd zie je hoe getraind die nek is. Lijkt wel een boomstam.

    Slecht nieuws @Larry Perkins. Dit betekent dus dat Grosjeans 8e kookboek nòg langer op zich laat wachten. :(

    Aan de andere kant, misschien wordt dit juist wel zijn 8e kookboek. Met een recept voor Flame Grilled Romain. ;)
