Massa verwacht geen winst voor Alonso: "Je hebt een goede auto nodig als je wilt winnen"

Fernando Alonso maakte dit jaar zijn comeback in de Formule 1. Hij doet het zeker niet onaardig in zijn Alpine maar vechten voor de podiumplaatsen zit er normaliter niet in voor de Spaanse tweevoudig wereldkampioen. Toch genieten veel fans en kenners van zijn terugkeer.

Ook zijn voormalig teamgenootje Felipe Massa kan wel genieten van de teruggekeerde Spanjaard. De Braziliaan reed enkele jaren naast Alonso bij Ferrari en kent hem dus heel goed. Massa is dan ook niet te beroerd om zijn mening te geven over de prestaties van zijn oud-teamgenoot.

In gesprek met het Spaanse AS spreekt Massa zich uit: "Hij heeft niet de auto om te winnen maar hij doet heel belangrijk werk. Hij is heel erg snel en daarnaast in hij ook nog eens heel erg consistent. Ook maakt hij er een show van voor de fans."

Auto

Massa denkt dan ook niet dat Alonso nog om de overwinning gaat vechten. De Braziliaan denkt dat de Alpine momenteel niet goed genoeg is. Hij is duidelijk: "Je hebt een auto nodig. Of je nou Alonso, Schumacher, Hamilton of Senna bent. Je hebt een goede auto nodig als je een kans op de overwinning wilt hebben."
