Nieuwe huidtransplantatie Grosjean goed verlopen

Het is inmiddels bijna een jaar geleden dat Romain Grosjean aan de dood ontsnapte in Bahrein. De Fransman wist net op tijd weg te komen uit zijn hevig brandende Haas. Nu een jaar later ondervindt Grosjean nog steeds hinder aan het ongeval.

Grosjean onderging dinsdag opnieuw een operatie. Hij kreeg een huidtransplantatie aan zijn linkerhand. De huidig IndyCar-coureur had vooral veel schade aan de bovenkant van de hand. Een deel van de beschadigde huid is dinsdag dan ook vervangen.

De operatie verliep naar wens. Grosjean doet op social media zelf verslag van de ingreep. Hij schreef het volgende: "De operatie is helemaal goed verlopen. Normaal gesproken mag ik morgen naar huis na een aantal checks. Ik kan niet wachten om jullie een paar foto's te laten zien van mijn nieuwe hand!" De ongemakken aan zijn hand hinderen hem overigens niet, hij rijdt volgend jaar voor het topteam van Andretti in de IndyCar.
