Talkshowhost nodigt Daniel Ricciardo uit en houdt zich van de domme: "Wat is Formule 1?"

Talkshowhost Ellen DeGeneres nodigt Daniel Ricciardo uit voor haar TV-show, maar de presentatrice lijkt zich bijzonder slecht te hebben ingelezen voor het gesprek. Als de McLaren-coureur op haar TV-set verschijnt vraagt de dame Ricciardo simpelweg de meest basale vragen. 

'Domme vragen' bestaan niet, beweren docenten. Beroepsvragenstellers, presentatoren en andersoortige persmuskieten weten dat dat waar is: de beste antwoorden volgen doorgaans na bijna té simpele en basale vragen.

Of TV-presentatrice Ellen DeGeneres nu werkelijk niets van F1 en haar gast Daniel Ricciardo af wist, of niet: haar aanpak leidt in ieder  geval tot een bijzonder gesprekje op TV.  

Daniel Ricciardo komt er met een grote maar wat ongemakkelijke smile   natuurlijk wel uit. Zie hier het aardige gesprek: 

 

 

 

Formule 1 groeit met name in de Verenigde Staten aan populariteit. Die groei aan interesse voor de koningsklasse van de autosport zou het gevolg zijn van de Netflix-serie Drive To Survive.

    Dit zijn toch normale vragen van mensen die geen verstand hebben van de F1 of nog nooit/niet gezien/kijken hebben.

    Het zijn open vragen, i.p.v. de gesloten vragen met een eigen mening van een bekende tandarts.

    Er is ruimte om alles duidelijk en op een leuke manier uit te leggen. Ik zeg prima.

      @ red slow... inderdaad.. ik zie hier eerder Ricciardo wat haperend en minder duidelijk op de vragen in gaan .

    De bedoeling was om de netflix serie te promoten.
    Een zeer intelligente vraag van Ellen, hoe leg je uit wat F1 is.
    Daniel redt zich er goed uit.

    Dat ze F1 leerde kennen door een serie op Netflix zegt natuurlijk al genoeg.. Die interesseert de sport zelf bar weinig.. Allemaal prima, maar waaron nodig je dan een F1 couteur uit? Of was dit een verplicht PR-nummer vanuit FOM ofzo?

    Dit zijn vragen op het niveau van haar publiek. Dus feitelijk een introductie. En dan kunnen mensen wel geringschattend praten over mensen die via Drive to Survive tot de F1 gekomen zijn maar zegt niks over hun kwaliteit(?) als supporter. Ik ben gestart met het lezen van de boeken van Heinz Prüller dus dat is, gelet op het tijdsverschil, eigenlijk hetzelfde. En dan zouden de 40 jaar die ik vervolgens F1 heb gevolgd niet tellen?

      Ik snap de kritiek ook niet. Wat ik bijvoorbeeld wel irritant vind is dat Mol steeds de meest vanzelfsprekende dingen uitlegt elke race. Hoe vaak horen we wel niet dingen als "dat mag, want het gaat om een positie"..?
