Rosberg blijft bij standpunt: "Lewis heeft de beste kaarten in handen"

Vanavond dendert het felle titelduel tussen Max Verstappen en Lewis Hamilton weer in volle vaart door. Het duel is bizar close en het is dan ook zeer lastig te voorspellen wie van de twee er uiteindelijk met de felbegeerde titel naar huis gaat. Toch durven sommige kenners dit wel aan.

Ook Nico Rosberg kan het niet laten om zijn visie op het duel met de wereld te delen. De enkelvoudig wereldkampioen spreekt zich uit bij Sport1: "Het is sensationeel close. Ik zou zeggen dat Lewis op het moment de beste kaarten in handen heeft. Zijn ervaring helpt enorm maar het ligt nog steeds helemaal open."

Maar de voormalig Mercedes-coureur is wel onder de indruk van de prestaties van Verstappen. Hij is vol complimenten: "Max levert echt fantastisch werk. Het mentale aspect is heel belangrijk in dit soort duels. Het is zeker niet makkelijk voor hem want het is de eerste keer dat hij zich in deze situatie bevindt. En dan duelleert hij ook nog eens tegen één van de meest succesvolle coureurs ooit. Als je het zo bekijkt verdient hij enorme herkenning."
