Norris baalt van eerste bocht-incident: "Geen idee wat ik anders moest doen"

Lando Norris leek een superstart te hebben in Brazilië. Maar de Britse McLaren-coureur werd aangetikt door zijn maatje Carlos Sainz en liep zo al voor de eerste bocht een lekke band op. Hij wist zich toch nog naar de tiende plaats te worstelen maar moest met lede ogen toezien dat Ferrari nog verder uitliep.

Na afloop van de interessante race keek Norris terug op zijn incident bij de start. Tegenover RaceFans laat hij weten dat hij er niet veel aan kon doen: "Ik bedoel, ik moest naar links sturen voor de eerste bocht en de gozer aan de binnenkant weet dat ook. Dus dan moet je elkaar toch respecteren?"

Norris weet dan ook niet wat hij beter kon doen in de situatie. Hij redeneert verder: "Als ik een beetje aan de rechterkant zit komt er een punt waar ik terugkom. Uiteindelijk hebben zij hier meer voordeel mee dan wij op de lange termijn. Ik heb geen idee wat ik anders moest doen."
