Verstappen maakt debuut op Losail: "Lastig om te zeggen hoe het is tijdens de race"

Max Verstappen moest net als zoveel andere coureurs even wennen aan een gloednieuwe baan voor hem. De Nederlandse Red Bull-ster had immers nog nooit rondjes gereden op het Losail International Circuit. Deze vrijdag was het dan zover en de Limburger vermaakte zich prima.

Na afloop van de twee verschillende trainingen ,de twee was immers in het schemerduister, verscheen Verstappen voor de camera's van Sky Sports: "Je moet het circuit wel leren kennen maar het was alsnog heel leuk om hier te rijden. Het is een fijn circuit. Het is lastig om te zeggen hoe het zal zijn bij de race want met deze wagens blijft het lastig om elkaar te volgen. Over een vliegende ronde wordt het sowieso mooi."

Net als zijn concurrenten voelde Verstappen ook dat niet alles helemaal in orde was. "We reden voor het eerst in de avond dus het was belangrijk om te weten hoe de auto zou reageren. Er was nogal een verschil tussen de medium en de soft. Op de soft was het niet bepaald geweldig. Maar goed, het was de eerste keer dat we hier reden, dus we moeten nog veel onder de knie krijgen."
