Shovlin vertrouwt op Hamilton: "Lewis moet allebei de races winnen"

Mercedes beleefde een zeer goede vrijdag in Saoedi-Arabië. In allebei de vrije trainingen reed Lewis Hamilton de snelste tijd en ook Valtteri Bottas reed zichzelf in beide trainingen de top drie in. Bij het team waren ze dan ook zeer content met het resultaat.

Mercedes-kopstuk Andrew Shovlin was ook tevreden. Hij keek na de trainingen al vast een beetje vooruit op de rest van het weekend: "Ik denk dat het tijdens de race heel moeilijk wordt om in te halen. Dus het komen momenten dat ze op de auto's en de banden moeten letten."

Belangrijke slag

In Jeddah kan Hamilton een belangrijke slag slaan in de strijd om het wereldkampioenschap. Hij kan bij een overwinning inlopen op Verstappen of hem zelfs inhalen. Dat betekent dat dit weekend cruciaal is voor Mercedes en dat beseffen ze zich maar al te goed.

Pole

Shovlin weet wat hen te doen staat: "Lewis moet allebei de races gaan winnen. We hebben een auto die op pole kan gaan staan. Dat is het belangrijkste voor de race en daar gaan we vannacht aan werken. Als we de auto aan Lewis geven, dan kan hij het doen."

    Een paar rondjes keihard rondjes is niet te vergelijken met een race. Het circuit leent zich niet voor om te gaan cruisen als je vooraan rijdt. 1 foutje en je hangt in de muur. De auto's zullen zondag met volle tanks zich heel anders gedragen dan vandaag en morgen nog in de VT.

    sommige.dingen kun.je niet 1 op 1 door google translate halen. het heeft echt een menselijke hersencel nodig om spreektaal Nederlands te vertalen. luie donder.

      Ik kan me niet herinneren dat mensen moeten betalen om hier te komen ,

      je ziet alle content gratis hier , dus denk ik niet dat je het recht hebt om mensen voor luie donder uit te maken , vooral niet gezien het feit dat het met de informatie vergaring een tijd terug kwalitatief een stuk minder was dan dat het nu is .

      @Primavera, je geeft aan waar je denkt dat het probleem zit bij de schrijver van het artikel. Maar waar zit bij jou het probleem, want je nederlands is maar bar slecht. Slecht gebruik van leestekens. Als je dan al commentaar denkt te moeten hebben op een ander doe het dan zelf beter en niet 10 keer slechter. Dat staat dan echt weer heel slordig

    Als ik als onpartijdig toeschouwer eerlijk mag zijn heb ik liever dat Hamilton dit weekend wint. Dan kunnen we er tenminste de laatste race echt voor gaan zitten.

      @cherokee, dat ben ik nou net niet met je eens.
      Als hamilton deze wint is het gedaan. Die laatste race is 100% voor mercedes. Als Max hem wint is de spanning ook weg, dat ben ik wel met jee eens.

      Het onderlinge verschil zoals het nu is, is wat dat betreft het moooiste om de laatste race in te gaan.

    Als je op dit moment zou moeten oordelen, dan zal Lewis winnen, maar het was pas de vrijdag, dus we gaan afwachten.

      Als je zo het seizoen bekijkt hebben Lewis en Max beide een kans. De kans dat iemand anders dan 1 van die 2 wint is dan weer niet heel groot.
