Leclerc baalt van megaklapper: "Hopelijk kan ik het team belonen met een mooi resultaat"

Charles Leclerc speelde onbedoeld een grote rol op de vrijdag. De Ferrari-coureur was in Saoedi-Arabië bezig met een tweede vrije training zoals hij wel vaker doet. Maar in het slot van de training ging het helemaal fout en crashte hij kiezelhard.

Na afloop van de training reageerde hij op zijn dag bij de media-afdeling van de Formule 1: "De dag eindigde niet zoals ik had gehoopt maar over het algemeen gingen we door alles heen zoals we wilden. Ik denk dat de potentie er zeker weten is en als we alles morgen voor de bakker krijgen, dan kunnen we een goede dag hebben."

Hij baalt daarnaast wel van zijn mega crash. Hij reed zijn Ferrari helemaal in de prak: "Het spijt mij voor het team. Ze moeten hard werken om de auto morgen op tijd af te krijgen. Hopelijk kan ik ze daarna bedanken met een zou goed mogelijk resultaat."
