Twee DRS-zones op vernieuwd Yas Marina Circuit

Aankomend weekend racet de Formule 1 voor het eerst op het aangepaste Yas Marina Circuit. De baan in Abu Dhabi is al sinds 2009 gastheer voor de koningsklasse van de autosport maar nu heeft de organisatie enkele aanpassingen aan het circuit doorgevoerd.

Zo is de chicane van bocht vijf tot bocht 7 verwijderd net als de chicane bij bocht 11. Ook de de bochten bij de hotelsectie zijn aangepast. Dit alles om ervoor te zorgen dat er meer inhaalmogelijkheden zijn en de races spannender worden. Max Verstappen en Lewis Hamilton kunnen daar dus hun titelstrijd vervolgen.

Ze zullen te maken krijgen met twee DRS-zones, afgelopen weekend waren er nog drie zones. Het eerste DRS-detectiepunt bevindt zich 40 meter voor bocht 5. 210 meter na bocht 5 mogen de coureurs dan voor het eerst gebruik maken van hun DRS. Het tweede detectiepunt ligt 50 meter na bocht 7. De heren coureurs mogen hun vleugel dan open op 165 meter na die bocht.

      Nee hij heeft gewoon gelijk. Bochten eruit halen, DRS Zones toevoegen. Zeggen dat bij botsingen punten afgetrokken worden. De FIA doet er echt alles aan om Hamilton kampioen te maken. Echt om te kotsen dit.

    DRS nooit geen fan van geweest dat kunstmatig inhalen zodat het lijkt of de andere stilstaat hoe kun je u nu verdedigen tegen dit.

    Er is geen DRS-Zone toegevoegd. Die zijn hetzelfde als altijd. Op de twee rechte stukken. Wel is het meer een Mercedes baan geworden en is het lastiger geworden om iemand uit te remmen aan het eind van het tweede rechte stuk.
