Wereldkampioen Verstappen valt ook in de prijzen in online-racewereld

Max Verstappen bewees dit jaar dat hij een ware prijzenpakker is. De Nederlandse Red Bull-coureur eindigde vrijwel elke race waar hij finishte op het podium en won uiteindelijk de wereldtitel. Zijn prestaties werden gewaardeerd en hij werd dan ook genomineerd voor enkele prestigieuze prijzen.

Ook in de online-wereld krijgt Verstappen de nodige waardering. De Nederlander stapt met enige regelmaat in de simulator en ook daar zijn de prestaties om over naar huis te schrijven. Zijn online-prestaties zijn zelfs zó goed dat hij ook hier was genomineerd voor een prijs. Hij was genomineerd in de categorie 'Best Real-World Pro' bij de VCO Simmy Awards.

Redline

Vorig seizoen won de Nederlander de award en ook dit jaar mocht hij de prijs mee naar huis nemen. Hij kon zich ook gelukkig prijzen toen hij zag wie er de prijs won voor het beste team. Zijn online teamgenoten van Team Redline vielen hier namelijk in de prijzen.

Het is bekend dat Verstappen veel tijd door brengt op de online circuits. De Limburger doet met enige regelmaat mee aan grote online races waaronder zelfs enkele 24-uurs wedstrijden. Hij heeft echter een afkeer voor de officiële Formule 1-game, dus daar zal men hem niet zo snel treffen.

Precies Maximo, zo ben ik mij gaandeweg het seizoen steeds meer en meer van al die onzinnige, eenzijdige en sensatie zoekende randverschijnselen gaan onthouden en ik moet zeggen dat mij dat uitstekend bevalt.
Dat ik hier dan ook nog zit heeft een heel ander doel maar daarover later meer.

  Olav had het over Viaplay, Grand prix radio en dat hij waarschijnlijk vanuit de Ziggo studio de samenvattingen gaat doen want hij mag niet op locatie zijn i.v.m. het verlies van de rechten door Ziggo.
  Sven vroeg ook of hij al gevraagd was door de NOS om Zandvoort te gaan doen en eventuele andere GP's op het open net.
  Verder ging het over de verslaggeving met een oranje bril door Ziggo en over Viaplay die dit heel anders gaan doen.

  Volgend jaar voor 65E een F1TVPro abonnement en dan geloof ik het verder wel wat er aan allemaal praatjes op TV en radio over de GP's zijn. 90% is klinklare onzin wat er wordt uitgekraamd, dus daar hoef ik het niet voor te zien of horen.
