Max Verstappen ook populair bij de teambazen

Max Verstappen maakte in 2021 veel indruk op de baan. De Nederlandse Red Bull-coureur liet zien wat hij in zijn mars heeft en won veel races. In de allerlaatste ronde van het seizoen verschalkte hij rivaal Lewis Hamilton en won hij zijn eerste wereldtitel. De Nederlander oogstte lof op vele vlakken.

Na afloop van het seizoen worden er traditioneel gezien veel uitverkiezingen gehouden. Ook dit jaar is dat niet anders en bij deze polls valt wereldkampioen Verstappen vanzelfsprekend veelvuldig in de prijzen. De organisatie van de Formule 1 vond het een goed idee om een enquête te houden onder de teambazen en de resultaten waren weinig verrassend.

Verstappen

De hoge heren van alle teams mochten hun tien favoriete coureurs van het jaar doorgeven en daar rolde dan weer een lijstje uit. De teambazen verkozen Verstappen als beste coureur van het jaar. Zijn naaste rivaal Hamilton eindigde ook in deze uitverkiezing op de tweede plaats. De teambazen kozen verder voor enkele verrassende namen.

Norris

Lando Norris kreeg namelijk veel stemmen van de teambazen. De Britse McLaren-coureur eindigde als derde voor het Ferrari-duo Sainz en Leclerc. Ook Fernando Alonso kreeg veel waardering en eindigde als nummer zes in de poll. Gasly, Russell, Bottas en Ocon maakte de top tien compleet.

Ricciardo

Opvallend genoeg eindigt Red Bull-coureur Sergio Perez dus niet in de top tien van deze uitverkiezing. Ook Daniel Ricciardo kan niet op de steun van de teambazen rekenen en valt buiten de boot. De Australiër won weliswaar op Monza maar kende verder een teleurstellend jaar, blijkbaar delen de teambazen die mening.

  De teambazen hebben gewoon gestemd. Dus die vinden dit jaar Verstappen de beste. Daar zit 0 geloof bij, want het is een statistische waarheid dat de teambazen Verstappen de beste vonden. Gemiddeld dan.
  
  Er zijn wel wappy teambazen die op een ander hebben gestemd als nummer 1. Dat kan aan de eindstand worden opgemaakt. Geen maximum score.
