Perez ziet dat Horner erg toegewijd is aan Red Bull

Sergio Pérez heeft in 2021 voor het eerst een volledig seizoen gedraaid als Red Bull-coureur. Onder de hoede van teambaas Christian Horner reed de Mexicaan naar de overwinning in Baku en een vierde plaats in de eindstand.

Pérez zag tijdens afgelopen seizoen hoe betrokken en passievol zijn teambaas is. Dat werd in 2021 extra zichtbaar door de strijd met Mercedes. De Mexicaan zegt hierover: "Nou, ik denk dat het veel is van de situatie waarin we waren", zei hij. “Maar voor Christian, is Red Bull Racing zijn leven. Hij geeft er alles voor. Hij wordt erg gepassioneerd en ik vind het geweldig om te zien."

Over het algemeen kan Perez uitgesproken personen binnen de paddock erg waarderen. "Voor de sport is geweldig om coureurs met karakter te zien. Het is geweldig om teambazen met karakter te zien. Het hoort uiteindelijk bij de sport."
